Once you decide to become a HallDoran Realty agent, fill out your information here: www.joinhdre.com. The HallDoran Realty broker will contact you for an interview. The interview will be an opportunity to meet the broker, ask any questions, and review the plan best suited for you. Afterwards, you can e-sign the independent contractor agreement (ICA).
After you sign the ICA and resign from your current brokerage, your HallDoran Realty broker will provide you the steps on transferring your license.
You pay NO FEES to HallDoran Realty. You pay no monthly fees as long as you close a transaction within your first 12 months at HallDoran Realty. You do pay the agent portion of your real estate board licensing fee; local, state and national Realtor fees; and MLS fees. Rather than paying a “processing fee” or “transaction fee” after reaching your cap like so many other “100%” brokerages, HallDoran Realty covers your base expenses (marketing, signage, etc.) after you reach your cap.

For individual agents: after $18,000 split to HallDoran Realty annually, HallDoran Realty pays you 95% of the commission through the remainder of 12-month period based on your starting date.
For teams on HallDoran Realty’s team plan, the annual split to HallDoran Realty is $18,000 for the team leader and $9,000 per team member (prorated). After your team meets the cap obligation, your team will be paid a 95% commission through your 12-month anniversary. However, the broker is flexible and willing to customize a plan suited for your team.
Caps are on a 12 month period based on your starting date.
HallDoran Realty covers the cost of E&O insurance, which covers every transaction you do with a coverage amount of no less than $1M per occurrence. We do not nickle and dime you for "risk management fees" or E&O fees.
Provided you have submitted all transaction documents, you will be paid at the close of escrow. Many brokerages pay at closing by getting a CDA; however, this is unlawful in the state of California. HallDoran Realty prides itself in following all real estate laws, ethics and guidelines. You will be paid as an independent contractor, and will be issued a form 1099 at the end of the year.
HallDoran Realty is built for agents who aspire to be active. When you join HallDoran Realty, you will be asked to set your goals. While there is no minimum sales volume, there are 3 and 6-month check-ins to review your progress against goals.
You do. They are your clients and your deals. While HallDoran Realty has an established guideline, feel free to negotiate what is best for you.
You are required to have an active California real estate salesperson or broker license, issued by the Department of Real Estate. Your license has to be in good standing, and you should have no claims filed against you.
HallDoran Realty periodically has available private office spaces in their main office. However, there is an open common area and conference room available for your use. Don’t be fooled by “online” real estate brokerages attempting to convince you that they are saving you money by not having a brick-n-mortar office—rent is a nominal cost in operating a real estate office.
HallDoran Realty only succeeds when you succeed. Therefore, it is in our interest to help you achieve your goals be continuously available and to help with whatever you may need. You can reach the broker whenever you want via text, phone or email.
Unlike many “100%” and franchise brokerages, HallDoran Realty will not leave you high-and-dry in the wilderness wondering where to go from here. Your broker is part of your team, and he makes it his mission to help you succeed. Of course, you are the key component for getting the work done.

When available, join a team for one-on-one coaching. And also, reach out to the broker personally for help with anything.
